We love this cafe. It's our favourite coffee shop in Morning side. They serve very high-quality coffee. The flat white is just delicious. The decaf option is also a great one and as tasty. We went on Saturday for our first coffee to go since the all COVID situation. No table and seats inside obviously but well organised and helpful. We were delighted to taste some great coffee. Also ... the chocolate cake/brownie is to die for.
Allured in by its stylish interior. Cozy and comfy set-up to enjoy. The coffee is okay, but the scones are probably the best in Edinburgh, very nice texture and smell.

Dropped in to try the coffee here on a wander around Morningside and got a Mocha, Rarely do I notice the base taste of the coffee but this place has their own brand and it's amazing! They only had beans for sale but it's prompted me to go spend a fortune on coffee kit so I can pick up some of these beans! Nice surroundings, bright, welcoming and quiet. Staff were friendly on our brief encounter while ordering and paying. Dog friendly too, but not sure we would have taken our 4 collies in :D
We were very happy to have found Blackwood Coffee as we were wandering the delights of Morningside. The lady serving us has the most gorgeous flaming hair and serves the most delicious cheese scones. Yes - we should have included one in the photo. However, temptation overtook us and it disappeared in no time. Thank you.
Stumbled on this cafe and loved both the coffee and the food. One in our party said the shortbread was the best they’d ever had. Great atmosphere too.
Fantastic service, although a bit busy. Outstanding latte. Nice biscuit, which I dropped and they kindly offered me a replacement. Nice touch. Nice little cafe.
I feel like Blackwood Coffee is something of an underrated wee gem. It's been here unchanged for years now, but the coffee is good and although it's small, the wood panelling is like no other coffee shop in Edinburgh. But the real reason to come is if you need a chocolate hit: the chocolate tiffin is the best, rich and dark. No-one else has tiffin this good.
